Sontronics Omega, Valve Mic - Vacuum Tube Cardioid Condenser Microphone

Sontronics Omega has a carefully hand-finished, gold-sputtered capsule suspended in its lollipop-style grille head, and this along with its unqiue Sontronics-designed circuitry allow it to combine rich, warm low frequencies with natural highs. The resulting sound is extremely satisfying and, we're told, utterly addictive, and Omega is a must-have for many producers and studios.

Sontronics Omega (like our HELIOS with its continuously variable polar pattern) houses a hand-selected 12AX7/ECC83 vacuum tube. The microphone comes with its own dedicated power supply unit, the SPS-2, which features a 75Hz low-cut filter and a -10dB attenuation pad. The SPS-2 also gives you the option to switch between 115V and 230V, depending on where in the world you are using your microphone.

Our Sontronics Omega microphone comes in a velvet-lined wooden box and this is packaged together with its spider-style shcokmount, spare shockmount elastics, the SPS-2 power supply unit and all required cables in a rugged aluminium flightcase. Although Omega is not currently in production, if you do find one on the second-hand market, grab it quickly as these are extremely desirable microphones!
